AVP - Business Banking Manager
3532 172nd St NE Arlington, WA 98223
I started my banking career as a junior in High School, working part time pulling files for a local Savings and Loan in Seattle. Once I graduated High School the bank hired me full time as a “Girl Friday” (yes that was my title). I spent the next 3 years working in every department to learn all the different job duties to fill in where needed. I finally landed myself in the Retail side, which made me find my passion in customer service. At 23, I was promoted to Assistant Manager, and at 25 I became the Branch Manager. As Branch Manager, I was able to build strong business and personal relationships with our customers, which lead me in the direction to be a caring advisor and business banker for our community.
In 1992, I moved from Seattle to Marysville to work for a local Saving Bank. This is where I became involved with the nonprofit organizations in Marysville. I have been a proud Rotarian for over 10 years, a community Board Member of the Cancer Patient Assistance Fund, at Providence Regional Cancer Partnership, Past Board Member of the YMCA, and multiple other organizations.
Interesting Facts about me:
I have been one the announcers of the Grand Parade for the Marysville Strawberry Festival for 10 years, and have been a member/volunteer for them over 25 years.
I love to travel, and have been to Europe twice, visiting 8 different countries.
I joined a military Drill Team when I was 8 and stayed active in it till I was 16. The drill team taught me the importance of team work and being a strong leader, giving back and to help whenever needed. I also met my best friend from the drill team, and we are still best friends today.
